My goals with this artwork were: 1. Show off Shelby from my graphic novel, Journeys of Shelby Bly. 2. Show off that cool Aztec Sun Stone prop I got. 3. Experiment with lighting and atmospheric techniques. I'm happy to say that all goals were achieved. In the end, I did very little post-work on this one. Mainly I just depth blurred the background a little, made Shelby a bit brighter, and enhanced the colors. Everything else was done in the raw render including the light beam effect (part of my atmospheric experiments).
