Shadowness - Drakhenliche I'm a self taught artist with most of my stuff (besides the occasional trade or commission) relating to my project 'The Daemonslayers' and the world i... en Unicorns are....
...eeeeevil!!! Well, these ones anyway. Daemonslayers art ^^ And world-building blurb that probably makes little sense out of context: Here we have Serpentia, Wildfyre and Aelrhys; should be obvious who's who. They're three of the dire unicornsa all twisted up in their own special ways into dark reflections of the gentle creatures of light they once were. Before the demon goddess Shine captured and changed them into the accursed beings they are now, these immortal creatures (I'll draw the rest at some point) were the wardens of the enchanted forests and pristine wildernesses of the lands of Southern Caevalonia, now reduced to barren, blasted wastelands. However even darkness has different levels. The very worst of the dire unicorns are those with broken horns. These beings are utterly evil and beyond redemption. Those with their horns intact may be open to reason but are generally unable to prevent themselves spreading madness and destruction wherever they wander. Lightning stock courtesy of me! (I managed to photograph lightning! Couldn't believe my luck!). However, he is enormous fun to draw (and write). In my spare time I like to write stories and draw up comics revolving around him and his two fellow Daemonslayers (imaginatively, I call this project 'The Daemonslayers'). You can expect to see more of him and his chums but if you're interested all is revealed on ;) Sun, 06 Oct 2013 11:07:46 -0400 Lunch
I get the feeling he's hungry... Sat, 05 Oct 2013 12:22:10 -0400 Caracal Skull Studies
I've done a bunch of studies of a replica caracal (South African Lynx) skull I have. Just for fun and practice messing about with different colour combinations. They're separate paintings, acrylics on canvas paper, but I thought they looked quite nice bunched together here. Sat, 05 Oct 2013 12:14:01 -0400 Red and Dead
Third attempt with super sculpey.. kind of getting the hang of it. Sat, 08 Jun 2013 14:10:58 -0400 Smile
Kind of a speed painting. Sort of. It's a while since I've used my acrylics, I really should wheel them out more often, I'd forgotten how enjoyable using them is. Sat, 16 Mar 2013 18:07:01 -0400 Eyeball Skull
Meet Wilbur. He's watching you... Another replica fox skull. This time I unearthed some Milliput and reminded myself that I can't sculpt for toffee whilst attaching that glass eye. No airbrush this time, all hand-painted. The swirly bits are metallic silver paint but it just looks grey in the photo. I think the eye makes this guy look kind of sweet, or maybe I'm just a little strange.
