King of the Pond

A picture I drew for my brother's birthday.

When I drive to town, sometimes I pass a pond with a tree stump by it. One day there was a red-tailed hawk sitting on the stump and I knew that I wanted to draw that picture. However, when my brother's birthday came along, my references were working against me. So, I made up a pond and tree stump and drew a peregrin falcon instead. It made a better picture anyhow.
