While I will never have the chance to be a student of his, I have learned a lot from him throughout my life. From studying his and his sons' work on a collection of X-Men trading cards as a child, to looking at the work put out on his own Sgt. Rock, Hawkman, and many of the other DC characters he's worked on..... Becoming highly inspired thanks to The Kubert School's presentation two years back at New York Comic Con and then finally meeting and speaking to the man himself..... Hearing from him on orientation day and receiving greetings from him nearly every day at school.....I am truly blessed to have known the legend that was and is Joe Kubert. Rest in peace.
