Aug 4thI'm a self taught illustrator from the Philippines. My artworks usually focus on women with very long hair surrounded by flowers and vines. Other artworks depend on what I feel or what I have experienced. I do traditional and digital illustrations. I usually listen to music while I draw something because for me it helps a lot when I'm making details to my drawings. My dream is to become a childrens book illustrator. Jun 12thLowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.

Bautista is a Fine Arts major in Advertising student of Bulacan State University who has exemplified his skills in different fields. He has topped visual arts competitions like the 4th Cocolife Colors of Life Student Visual Arts Competition – Runner up (College category), 2011 National Student Art Competition (Art Petron) – Grand Prize (T-shirt design) and Semifinalist (Painting category), 43rd Shell National Students Art Competition (NSAC) – 5th honorable mention, 2010 Metrobank Art Design Excellence (MADE) – Semifinalist, and, a grandprize winner in the 1st Bulacan State University Painting Contest. Aside from his artistic excellence, Batista has contributed in BulSU’s official student publicaton, Pacesetter, as a member for 3 years and the Art Director for his last year. He has won Regional and Luzonwide press competitions in editorial cartooning and comic strip drawing.

To date, Christopher has exhibited in New York, Washington, Atlanta, Austin, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Toronto, while recently being published in International Contemporary Artists Volumes I, II and III out of Greece and New York . Mar 4th, 2012I'm a photographer. Working is my playtime. Every details of it is my life.
May 24thMarried, 51 years old, 2 children and owner of a family business. Photography and working with Photoshop are hobbies. In 2011 my life went through some changes that took every free second I had, meaning I had little to no time to do what grew to be real passions. In 2012 I will do an effort to save at least some hours for myself to be able to remember what I forgot about PS and taking pictures... and create again. In the meantime, whatever I share will be old works that I hope fit the standards of Shadowness. I love to browse galleries and I'm very selective and honest when it comes to follow an artist due to my lack of time. That is also why I won't probably send "Thank you" messages for being followed, but please know that I will be honored of every single follow I get. And I will be thankful! When a work touches me, comments flow and there's nothing I can do to stop my fingers from writing a comment to the artist. There I always try to let them know what exactly made me favorite his/her work and what is special about it, or what it made me feel. Constructive critiques and advise are always welcome! It was thank to them that I could improve from nothing to something acceptable :) ! I speak Spanish, English and German... and some Portuguese. Let's enjoy art !! Manny :)

I've sold a print or two here and there and sold the copyrights to some work but for all intents and purposes I am very definitely a card carrying, flag waving amateur. I'm new here so I'm not sure of the etiquette, but please feel free to comment and critique my gallery.....seriously, so long as it's constructive I have no problem at all with criticism so please feel free to tear me to shreds should you see an area for improvement.

Living in the south of Sweden, keeps me close to the sea and nature. One of the many things i couldn’t imagine changing in my life. I always had a special love for windmills, flowers and the sea.
