There's plenty of brands out there - Faber Castell, Koh-I-Noor, Derwent or Black Tree.
I myself use Faber Castell's Eco (which happen to suck...), few no-names (completely no name on a pencil), Koh-I-Noor and some old Herlitz and Corte. I know those brands are not the best (but are cheap) and want to know, what brand do you use, fellow Shadows?
I use Prismacolor, they layer very well. I used Derwent for a bit (got them as a gift) they're pale in comparison to Prismacolor. I only have a set of 18 Prismacolors but I can take on any project with them. I've heard good things about Faber Castell though.
I use prismacolor, they blend very well and you can build up lots of nice layers with them. I occasionaly use other random ones which I don't know the name to. Only problem with prismacolor is that they break so easily, and I have a bad habit of dropping mine all the time -.-
I use Faber-Castell as much as I can, however I don't have many colours of them, so I often have to substitute with my big bag of random pencil crayons, which are mostly Laurentien for more specific colours.
I've used Prismacolor colored pencils now for about ten years and I love them ... They're my standard. I do try others from time to time and really want to try Faber Castell once I can afford them. Oh I do have some Derwent too but still prefer my Prismacolors right now
Steadtler. They blend better than most pencils giving it a smoother appearance like pastels, but it's not too waxy. And the colors blend on top of each other a little bit like paint. AND they color graphite is wrapped in paper and then put in the wood barrel so the leads never (and i mean NEVER) break. :3
