sing a palette derived from Rembrandt paintings and a classical composition, yet created entirely in Adobe Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. This Digital painting was entered in the Gnomon Workshop monthly Challenge for February 2008. The topic was catacombs, I was stunned and pleased to take first place in such a strong international competition with so many fantastic entries.

Beautiful. The skeletons in the background create very strong cohesiveness. And I just love how he's brushing her food with his hand, it's what makes the painting for me ♥

Thank you, I spent way too long on this one. Many little details I became obsessed with and in the end most of those are hardly even noticeable. Oddly my favorite parts are the flower and her right hand and the stone floor...
