A painting from one of the drawings, from my nightly Samurai Sketch sessions. I loved the sketch and wanted to do a painting directly from it.
Under 5 hours of total time involved in this image. 1/2 hour sketch and about 4 hours of painting.
Now you know what the alien monsters are doing when they aren’t invading, devouring people and mutilating cattle.

There is an updated version in which I replaced the background with a more domestic, white picket fence and green lawn.

Appreciate that. There is a newer version with the background changed out, though looking at both side by side I realize the original tone of the image as shown in this one is kinda nice.
