I don't know anyone that lives here who are actually into gambling :P
My husband and I are looking into moving back to Hong Kong in about 5 years :)
Where does your family live in HK? I used to live in TST, and my husband and I shacked up for 6 months in Wanchai. We are considering the Island or maybe New Territories for when we move there permanently.
LOL, I would've figured most gamblers on the strip would be tourists. I am actually looking at the possibilities of moving back there as well between now and ten years. I just love everything about it!
Most of my family live in the small villages Ping Shan and San Hing Tsuen (both next to Yuen Long, New Territories), but my family is HUGE (There were about 300 family members at my brothers wedding last november) so they're really scattered around the islands :p
aww really? I think it's what's actually intriguing, it isn't noticeable at first until you do look at it, it seems like an optical illusion :) You're welcome Cho!

Is this the image you were referring to? ;) It looks to me more like Hung Hom or East Kowloon.
Jun 1st, 2011 Reply katherine-cheng.comVery clean capture. The contrasts are what make this shot.

Yup this was the one. It's actually at TST where you'd normally look at the skyline, but then you have to turn around to see this building :)
Jun 1st, 2011 ReplyAre you from HK?
snowmask
Yes, I've lived there for the majority of my life :) I moved to Las Vegas in the US with my husband 4 years ago.

Ah that's cool. I was born there and have been living in Holland for the majority of my life, but 95% of my family still lives in HK.
Jun 1st, 2011 ReplyBeen to Vegas two years ago btw, had a great time! (Not a gambler though)

I have been to those villages in the New Territories! It was interesting to see that people live in actual houses, so near to nature too.

This is cool - Very interesting! What are all those boxes? :B
May 22nd, 2011 ReplyChopen
Thanks very much Leanne! They're air conditioners :)

Ahhh - ok :) It reminds me of one of those puzzles where you have to find the two that are exactly alike - lol Definitely makes for a great photo!

This is quite a photo Cho! love the repetition and contrast! I like how the 2nd last one to the right is bigger in size, creates a nice asymmetry :)

Thank you Faheema! In the beginning I was bummed that they weren't all equal in size, but I think the composition is actually more interesting now :)
