I think it's a dramatic image, can tell you put alot of work into it, I don't think I have the mind to put things together to do photomanipulations, I don't know where to start. It's an intense piece!

May 14th, 2011 ReplyThis piece is interesting. The concept is not commonplace. It looks looks like a werebear, dressed in jeans, and standing in a human-like pose. There is a lot of power coming from him, not only in the ripples, but in his strong stance.
It seems as though the piece was thought out. The water and air is effected by him, as is the trees and smoke. However, something in the physics of the piece seems a bit off. If there are water drops on the lens of the camera, perhaps there should be more turbulence in the water. The motion in the air looks a bit cartoony, and does not have as much effect as it could have, had the lines not been so circular. It also seems odd that everything else, including the trees, seem to be effected by the bear, but the clouds in the background are untouched. If you look at air, when it is near a heat source, it seems to bend. Even if the clouds are too far away to be effected, I do not believe the viewer's vision of them should be so clear.
I like the color scheme you chose. It is a nice change from the predictable and typical color choices by people thinking "shadowness." Overall, nice concept, and well thought out picture. Just some work with execution is needed.
