This is a Venus fly-trap that has evolved to allure and trap more than just insects.

does painter have a symmetry function? (very nice btw)

Painter does indeed now have a symmetry/mirror tool. I wish it existed when I did this piece but I did learn a lot in the process of creating this work (and my other past works) without the aid of this tool. It is quit helpful though and helps to speed up the painting process especially if you need to produce symmetrical designs/concepts quickly.
