I was a bit puzzled at first too, then I realized it was a drawing. That's when I was blown away.

i was thinking "drawing" at first.. then i red the discription and kept looking at it, trying to find any hint that shows that its a drawing. still nothin' found yet xD looks like a fingerprint sculpture to me though.. i would like to know if im right.

Belated answer, sorry ; Yes, you can see some of my fingerprints in this drawing ; They were done when I sculpted my model in clay, very rapidly, with no plan...sort of "automatic sculpture " :-)

My process is , firstly : making the sculpture, very rapidly, no plans ; secondly, take a shot of it and print it ; thirdly, drawing it very accurately, even the fingerprints :-)

Are the interesting wheals and spirals in this piece caused by the imprint of the human hand?Beautiful work, there are a few places where it seems that the contrast becomes a bit too poignant, perhaps the bottom right and the deep curl at center. Is that from the scan?

Yes, I drew my own imprints cause I created this "sculpture" to make a template of it ; May be I added too much contrast on this one, I am not that good with photographs :-)
