Oh my goodness, how could you feel your hands after makeing something like this. I hope there were no injurys. Up close is nice, but I like how everything takes on a kind of foggy feeling when viewed from a distance. Like my brain can't tell the specks apart and does a cool auto blending thing. Very need experiance.
Hehe, I worked on this little bit at a time. I definitely have more patience now than I used to. This was done about 10 years ago when I had to take lots of mini-breaks.
I should take mini breaks too. I tend to get lost in what I am doing and 10hrs later I have a sore back and a great picture. The time between is kind of fuzzy.
I've gotten that way with my recent pieces, too, and I'm afraid it's not good for my eyes. XD If I didn't have family asking what's for dinner, I'd probably forget about it altogether if I'm in the middle of a piece. lol

She has such elegance. I love the jewels that adorn her features, and the stretch of her neck.

amazing work!

Thank you so much. I used light pressure on the pencil over this toothy side of the paper and got the texture.
