Commissioned design project for a full-back horimono of the Kannon (aka Kwan Yin, Avalokiteshvara) figure of Buddhism. A contemporary spin on the traditional Buddhist theme and Japanese style horimono. Elements and colors as requested by the client, pose and composition are interpreted freely by me. I LOVE doing contemporary Buddhist art both as fantasy and as tat design. "Studio Miyabi", my art studio's name, appears in the upper left corner in the signature block in kanji.
