Woah! thats just a bit scary..
I can see a lot of research going to be needed just before buying one to see if they've done anything to fix these problems.
So anyone on S7 had any of these defects?
I wouldn't trust too much on it. I know a lot of people who has it and never got these problems. Plus, Apple launched the new model on 2007, which probably fixed some of these issues.
There's no such thing that has no *possible defects. If anything, most PCs probably have many more issues.
Still doesn't hurt to know :D
Jul 11th, 2007there's apple care, which i heard is pretty good. just return the damn thing if it's defect. hehe
Jul 11th, 2007Btw, it's a review of the 2006 model. Now, they got the new june 2007 model. So, they need to update their site...
Jul 11th, 2007i have not had one single problem out of my 2006 laptop. and certainly not any of the above listed.
there's always going to be the defects, you can't help it when you have machines building machines. a human isn't there to see physical flaws in the structure, etc.
but i find the list is quite short compared to what you get wrong on a daily basis from PC companies.
Most of the defects on that and other forum site are usually defects that are very minimal (ex. my macbook has a very very slight crackle when you open it, who cares i'm sure 99.9% of all pc's and macs make some noise when u move it. Another one i know of for the macbook is the left side has a little give while the right side is solid, but you can't see it so does'nt matter since most people don't press the left side in daily. And the software problems that sometimes happen are fixed by apple with an update shortly after its reported and as for hardware issues they get fixed in the newly made models once its reported. People like to take very small defects and make them sound worse than they are, while you should just enjoy your mac and be happy your not using windows which IS a defect.
Jul 26th, 2007Haven't had an issue yet (:

Something to chew on before making the plunge O_O...
