Poplar Hawk-moth (Laothoe populi) larva.
On first hatching the larva is pale green with small yellow tubercules and a cream-coloured tail horn. Later, it develops yellow diagonal stripes on its sides, and pink spiracles. Individuals feeding on willows may become quite heavily spotted with red. Others are more bluish white with cream stripes and tubercules. They are stout bodied, and grow to 65–85 mm.

This shot makes me think, "wow", confuses my brain, between how he looks like a juicy leaf with the expression of an eager dog, anticipating chasing after that ball that has just been thrown...and then it makes me chuckle when I look at it again. I love the symmetry and I always think that vivid blue and greens should always been seen together. They complement each other so well...I love the textures in this photo too and the clarity of it.
