It's often child-like in theme, depicting sweets, fanciful creatures and rainbows as well as exploring the world of fashion and garment in illustrated form. Done in a variety of media, including digital, acrylic, watercolour and ink, Mary's work is pop art, graphic and, for lack of a better word, sparkly. Her work is painted on canvas, a variety of papers or printed by way of giclee ink jet or silk screen (usually onto fabric for pouches/bags). Mary studied Illustration at College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Moving from the indie scene, Acrylicana and related lines have been manufactured into a variety of products and involved in projects from fashion to toys.

Carolina Bensler, born in Barcelona a hot August day in 1987, had a passion for art since the first time she had in her hands a "Plastidecor", using the walls of her bedroom and lots of paper as canvas. From that first time, she knew her life would revolve around the drawings, and her dream was to become a painter. She coursed Baccaulaureate in Arts with the intention to study Fine Arts after. But due to her love of narrative and storytelling, was leaned to Illustration, much better suited to her needs, obtaining the Advanced Vocational Training Certificate in Illustration in 2010. Throughout her brief trajectory her work has been published in various media like books, magazines, CD's, videogames, and a large list of events and exhibits; highlighting: "Exotique 7" by Ballistic Publishing (2011), "El Viaje del Polizón" (The Stowaway's Journey) by Mundos Épicos, the cover for the short stories' anthology "Bosques" (Woods) of Calabazas en el Trastero magazine, and a little contribution at "El Arte de Canción de Hielo y Fuego" (The Art of A Song of Ice and Fire) by Ediciones Gigamesh.

Well I remain one of the most senior artists on Shadowness having been with the site pretty much since its birth, from starting out small to growing bigger everyday. I have met loads of fantastic people on here and continue to do so on a daily basis, if you wish to become a friend just add me its that simple :) I hail from the UK where its very wet at the moment but that doesn't change much, I'm 27 and a Senior Designer for a Web Design and Development firm in the Midlands. At the moment my duties on Shadowness is to run a few groups the more popular ones are /photomaniacs for the photographers of shadowness and I also help run the /monkey clan :monkey If you should have any questions for me or about Shadowness in general please do ask them and ill be happy to answer them for you.
