Since you've been endlessly asking for critique, I'm going to try my best to critique this photograph and maybe some of your others in one post. Hopefully you'll find something of use in my thoughts. :)

This is probably my favorite piece in your portfolio. The playfulness and carefree attitude depicted in the image can be felt from the other side of the lense. They actually look a little bit like they're floating on water.

Technically, this is a very simple, straightforward shot. In fact, I think many of your photographs are very simple and forward-looking; they're very often from a standing-and-looking-straight-ahead point of view. Though this technique works in this case, in many of your other photographs, it does not. In your floral photography, for example, the simple, straightforward shot actually makes the beautiful and vibrant tulip or rose, or what-have-you kind of dulled and a bit boring. The reason this is so, is due to the fact that floral photography is done very often, and though beautiful, is sometimes OVER-done. That is not to say you cannot take a photo of a flower, but you have to express a higher technical expertise with it; you have to make the shot interesting and different from "all the rest". Take it from a different point of view, use a different lense, and make the viewer (and that includes yourself) try to see it in a way that he/she wouldn't normally see it. That's what makes photography compelling. So although I find this shot to be the best in your portfolio, I think there is potential in this to improve.

I'm also actually very glad you didn't overly Photoshop-process this image, as you seem to do that a lot in your photography pieces. Personally, I'm not a fan of that kind of thing, but some may be. Usually photographs look better border-free and typography-free, except maybe a small watermark in a minimalistic typeface if necessary. I believe that if a photograph has to be digitally processed, it should only be for color or brightness purposes.

Conceptually, there is no big story being told here. I feel that you're trying to depict an emotion--- playfulness. You succeed and this photograph might be one of the few that has an actual concept behind it in your gallery. In some of your photographs, you have your concepts conveyed in writing on the actual photograph like "I Miss You" which I often find repetitive because it's already in the title and it draws away from the photograph. I think, if you just took the photograph and posted it up and left it the viewer to depict the emotion coming from the photographer (which is you :D), just like in *this* photograph, the piece would be a lot more interesting to look at. As a photographer, you should convey your concept through your photograph, as opposed to the words on it.

Overall, I see a lot of potential in your work. There is always room for improvement and the great thing about Shadowness is, we are a small but growing community and we have many wonderful, and established photographers that you can learn from if not by talking to them, then by simply looking and learning from their work.

    Good luck!

This is a fine and playfull photo.
I like the colors in this picture and the reflection of the girls.
I also like how you cropped this photo putting the girls on the top of the photo and the reflection on the center of it.
