That's actually me. It's a masking technique in photoshop. You take a base picture of the background, without the person (use a tripod so there's no alteration of the scene). Then take a photo against a ladder, stool, chair, whatever you can balance on. Then mask out the item underneath you in photoshop, and your original background will appear, as if you're floating! It's really easy!
