An interior of "Dangling Threads". This is page 2, which gives a great idea of the foreboding mood we're looking at with this comic.
Using a black-and-white noir style with small color focuses presented us with a powerful way to keep the classic feeling of the episodes while adding a drama and darkness that would have been missed without.
Being my first attempt at a complete story, Issue #0 gave me a lot of room to experiment, and I've now improved on this style significantly, rededicating myself to the painting end and focusing on subtlety with mood.
Issue #1 will see smoother paints, heavier ink lines around the subjects, and line-work held back into the art in a lot of cases. Likewise we'll see brighter scenes with a more refined emphasis on ambiance.
